Barboursville, VA
A family shop, a welder, and a pile of American steel.
We started building fire pits because we couldn't find one worth buying. Everything on the shelf was thin, stamped, imported and rusted through in two seasons. So we cut, rolled and welded our own — and neighbors started asking for one.
How we got here
Built out of stubbornness, honestly
The first pit was for our own backyard. Heavy plate, deep bowl, three legs, no decorative cutouts to weaken the shell. It got used every weekend through a Virginia winter and came out the other side looking better than when it started.
A neighbor asked for one. Then his brother-in-law. Then a hardscape contractor down the road who was tired of clients replacing box-store bowls every other year. We kept the process the same: buy American plate, cut it in our shop, roll it, weld it, grind it clean, and put it on the truck ourselves.
We're still small on purpose. When you call (434) 466-9094, you're talking to the family that welded your pit — not a call center reading a script off a screen. If a weld is wrong, we fix it. If a size doesn't suit your space, we'll tell you that before you spend money.
Every pit leaves here in bare mill steel. It weathers into a deep graphite-brown patina that protects the surface, and it will outlive the chairs you set around it.
